Whenever I'd walk pass those gift wrapping stations in the mall during the holidays, I would often picture myself as one of the gift wrapping people ("gift wrappers"?). I absolutely ADORE wrapping packages... I can't imagine bringing my gifts to a station to have them wrapped by hands that are not mine.

Pour rendre mes brownies plus "temps es Fêtes", j'ai concassé 4 cannes de bonbon que j'ai saupoudrer sur ma fameuse recette de brownies au chocolat à sa sortie du four. Tout simplement délicieux!

Resto : Bistro l’Ardoise : Prometteur mais, décevant.

On m’avait tellement dit de bien du Bistro l’Ardoise à Rimouski, même Michelle Blanc semblait être tombée sous le charme lors de son passage dans la région. J’avais vraiment très hâte d’avoir la chance de goûter la cuisine du chef Alexandre Bouffard.

Rare, but true: on some Saturdays, I get out of bed before 10 a.m. And whenever I do, I tell myself, "hey, I have time to prepare an actual breakfast that isn't a peanut butter and jelly sandwich (although I could live on that for... ever)! And that means: it's pancake time! So I whip up my mix, flip my pancakes, do a little dance, and bummer: I realize there is no more syrup!
